Admission Procedures

Enrollment is done only by appointment, during the hours of 10:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. At the time of enrollment, you are required to submit all the necessary identification and the required fees. Individuals seeking financial aid assistance must submit a complete application. Enrollment will not be approved until financial aid process has been completed.

Admission Requirements

The following items are required by all applicants to be eligible for enrollment.

1. Enrollment application to be completed by the prospective students must be notarized (application obtained here). Valid drivers license and social security card are needed (copies).
2. Proof of Education: Provide completion of 7th grade with official transcript, report card, high school diploma or G.E.D. Financial Aid applicants must provide high school diploma, G.E.D or pass an independent test (ability to benefit) administered by a certified tester at the school. This test could be retaken if unsuccessful the first time.
3. State Registration fee of $35.00 must be in form of money order payable to Board of Barber Examiners.
4. Two 2x2 passport photos, same pose, photos may be obtained from any Walgreen's or photo booth in most shopping malls.

All students must attend classes the required daily hours. Full-time students must accumulate a total of 120 clock hours a month. Part-time students must accumulate 60 clock hours a month.

School attendance on SATURDAY IS MANDATORY. Saturdays are devoted exclusively to practical work over the chair to fulfill The State Board of Barbers Examiners requirement. All students must adhere to all school policies and procedures.

There is a ZERO TOLERANCE level for disobeying the school and state officials, rules and regulations, stealing, and disrespect to customers.

THIS IS A DRUG-FREE FACILITY. All sponsored school activity must be considered the same, any disrespect could result in permanent dismissal.

All students must meet all financial obligation.

New students orientation and classes: New students orientation is the first Tuesday of every week at 8:30 A.M. All students who have enrolled must report at this time. Classes will officially start the day after orientation.
